Seventy-seven years of faith and fellowship

First Baptist Church of Shasta Lake Ca was founded in 1949 with a simple vision: to gather people together in worship and discipleship. Nearly eight decades later, under the leadership of Pastor Thomas Sikes, we remain committed to the same calling-drawing our community closer to Jesus through Bible study, prayer, and genuine fellowship every week.

How it started

Founded in 1949, rooted in Scripture and community

First Baptist Church Shasta Lake was established in 1949, built on the conviction that God's Word and faithful people belong together in every neighborhood. For about 77 years, we have gathered to study the Bible, worship Jesus, and care for one another and our community with genuine love.

What began as a small group of believers committed to Scripture has grown into a church family united in prayer and service. We meet weekly to open God's Word, lift our voices in worship, and ask the question that still drives us: how can we love Shasta Lake the way Jesus loves us? Whether in a Bible class on Sunday morning, a worship service, or a prayer meeting, we gather because the gospel is meant to transform how we live together.

Our mission has remained constant for nearly eight decades. We exist to know Jesus more deeply, to grow in faith together, and to share His love with our neighbors. The seasons change. The calling endures.
